Three Easy Ways To Save Money

There are a lot of ways to save money; some may prove to be quite difficult while others may strike you as a “eureka!” type of thing. Aside from the more obvious things like setting aside money and refraining from using your credit card, there are several ways out there to save. These may not be able to save you as much money as the more drastic measures, but these little efforts would definitely help you save a whole lot of money in the long run.

Have you ever wondered how those little things that happen in your day would seem to affect you the most? Like how a pretty girl that you happened to pass by while walking to work smiled at you or how finding a penny on the ground would make you think this would be your lucky day? These tips on saving money are just like those, seemingly insignificant at first, but once your actions start to bear fruit you'll definitely be thankful.

1. Try not to go out clubbing every single weekend.

Sure, partying all night long and hanging out with your friends is a really fun thing to do. But this could also be a very expensive thing to maintain every single weekend.

Let's say you chugged down about 10 bottles worth of beer for one night; that would already cost you money that you could've saved on. Depending on your spending habits, a night out would cost you about a few dollars to about a hundred or more depending on the drinks you order and the food you buy along with it or after it. If you hanged out at a friend's house or just stayed home, you're already actually doing yourself a favor financially by avoiding any unnecessary expenses.

2. Ride the subway or the bus instead of a cab.

There's a reason why mass transport is a whole lot cheaper than taxi cabs. That's probably because the cost of operation is divided among all of its passengers. With riding a cab, you get to bear the burden of having to pay the cab the full amount of ferrying you to wherever it is you choose to go. Sure you don't get to have the privacy and the space you get from riding a cab, but the trade-off here is a whole lot more than you could ever bargain for. The huge gap between the prices of cab fares and mass transport fares are definitely quite large that it's hard to ignore.

3. Exercise at home if you can.

Not all of us have to go to the gym to exercise. We don't need treadmills, cross-trainers or rowing machines to make sure we stay healthy. We can all do this the old-fashioned way – by exercising at home or in our own neighborhood. If you can do this, this would be saving you from hundreds of dollars from membership fees and other stuff that gyms charge you with.
